Anyone know where I can get a dolly for a good price? I found a new one in Indy for 825.00 plus tax. I doubt it has a brake but I don't really care.

I once rented a U-Haul Car trailer for a 500 mile trip up to Prince George
- Pulled behind our 77 Eleganza II - with a 67 Chevy on it. The trailer I
think weighted more than the Car. Look for an Aluminum one.

That seems like a really cheap price Dan. Look very carefully at the quality.
like buying trailers, they know where they can cut corners. I have seen old trailers that never get the wheel bearings packed, and they last forever. and I have seen bran new trailers that use garbage bearings and the wheels fall off in a year. Luckily I did not loose the wheel. but the bearings were shot in less then a year of use, and I could tell when i pulled the other side, the bearings were just garbage.
I have seen some nice used one's at that price. but i would be really careful what you are buying new at that price point.
I would think a quality one would be closer, if not over $1000.00
a friend of mine had a nice one with electric brakes for a while, but we decided that we would rather use Jeff's car hauler. so he sold it. that was before I had the gmc.
also make sure you test out the dolly before purchasing. You might find the prius does not have enough ground clearance to go up some models.

There's one on Craig's List, here, for $850.00:

Another for $800.00:

Most are more expensive.

Thanks everyone. I must learn the Craigs List thing so I can look around.
I would need to see it before buying to make sure the little C will not drag.

Seems that the three ways of towing (4-down, dolly or trailer) all cost about the same. I am beginning to think that a flat trailer might be the best bet for us.
Due to a bad wheel bearing, I had to haul our towd on my bother's single axle flat bed trailer. It seemed easier to pull and was very stable. With a good trailer I could even use the wife's Audi as a "towd."
Shouldn't cost much more than setting up a single rig to tow 4-down, but could be used for most everything I, or one of my friends have. Plus with a trailer, you can back-up!
Storage might be an issue...
