Well, I am moving the gmc to a new lot this week and had to move it from the old one. Unfortunately, it had been sitting for a year due to funding and work space limitations. I did make sure to put SeaFoam stabilizer in the tanks before closing it up.
I was going to replace the battery anyway, so I installed a new battery and turned the key. After the starter spun for a bit, it finally caught! After letting it idle for a bit, I headed out for the 8 mile drive home. The engine was pretty smooth, although it did have some rough moments. I plan on running some injector cleaner through it to remove any varnish and build up from sitting for a year. I did feel a few hard vibrations in the steering wheel and some rattles and knocks, but overall, I expect that getting it completely ready for spring wont take too much time. I did have the left rear brake caliper lock up, so that will have to be removed and reinstalled as well.
So, I am back!
