Scenicruisers too. That looks like it might be a very good show. Thanks Dave.

G'day,

I just got up and check the time in NYC and its 2:35 PM. I have cable TV here in Sydney but Foxtel doesn't rebroadcast The Travel
Channel here.

I just checked The Travel Channel on line and as far as I can tell I can't watch it on line.

If someone could record this show on a VHS tape or DVD it would be great! Well at least the part about GMC's! ;-)

I don't believe I can export off my cable leased DVR or I would give it a shot. Maybe someone can, maybe even get it on YouTube.

And it looks like the only GMC on the show was the mention that's what the DecoLiner was made from. The next show is Extreme RVs. Maybe we'll be on there.

I've been watching since 5pm. The 6pm (CST)
showing had quite a bit with Jim B including
drag racing scenes I had seen before. I just
quit watching to come to the computer and
184 waiting messages!

This is from the link

The Travel Channel will premiere High Noon Entertainment’s one-hour network TV special dubbed “Mega RV Countdown” at 8 p.m. PST/EST on Jan. 6, examiner.com reported.

“High Noon Entertainment” — the company behind shows like HGTV’s “House Hunters,” TLC’s “Cake Boss” and the DIY Network’s “Disaster House” — began scouring North America for Mega RVs back in May 2012. High Noon’s team of Denver, Colo.-based producers and researchers sifted through a veritable smörgåsbord of recreational vehicles from luxurious Prevost-based motor coaches to cutting-edge design icons like the GMC motorhome and the celebrated Greyhound Scenicruiser.

I guess they sifted through the GMC motorhome and the celebrated Greyhound Scenicruiser -- and what? :-)

In my opinion, the "advertised" 8pm (EST) show was a pretty big disappointment!

I saw the segment on Jim B. He did a pretty good impression of most reality shows with a mock argument with his padwan. I thought the segment didn't detail the GMC per se.

Next we'll have some build-off battle between the 2 Jims and Ken Frey. Now THAT would be reality television!

I'm with you, but to just get some national exposure at all was difficult.  They were first interested when we were drag racing the coaches, getting the camera turned toawrd several GMC's together was the hard part.  There was a pile of "literary livence" used.  The "dumpster" as they called it was not-- that was the "23d" sporting a Workhorse chassis with a Duramax turbo diesel & Allison 1000 trans-- front wheel drive still it was the 23' GMC like no other and it costs WAY more that they reported!

BTW Rob, if you go to the travel channel and click on "Killer RV Upgrades" , go through a couple of segments on the floating milk truck, the Albatros RV, and the hand made Intl. truck, the segment on us is there.

Hey, it's all about exposure and natl exposure is really hard to get and really expensive if you had to pay for it.  My son asked how I felt loosing control of my image to "the man"-- hey, whatever!

The mock up shouting session was stupid, I asked them to not tape anymore of that but they had that in the can so they used it.  Wanted to expend to get more GMC exposure, as yet I've not gotten a call but I'm not sitting there watching the phone.  It was fun but my guess is it will go down as another 1 hit wonder...  Hey but the GMC did get on TV!

We enjoyed the show. You have to wonder though, with all the complaints
about GMC handling, how did Grubb get that thing to handle with even more
linkage in the equation? If you watch him during the driving sessions,
he's 'one thumbing it.

Steve,

Simple, one of our "official" vendors sold him a set of lower control arms that were beefed up, with Urethane bushings and new lower
ball joints from some guy that rebuilds them in Sierra Vista, New Mexico along with re-engineered upper control arms and an idler
arm and relay lever rebuilt by another GMC guy in Davison, Michigan! ;-)

Matt,

Thank you for recording it and I'm not interested in multi-million party buses. I've seen three different videos of the Decoliner
so I don't want you wasting your time editing the DVD. Bring it to Dothan as is and I can watch it. When something comes up I'm not
interested in there's Fast Forward.
