I am looking at a GMC Motorhome. It has the 6000 Onan but only one top roof a/c. I would prefer a stock a/c than a newer one for the lines. Anyone have any ideas?

If you're reluctant to put a new A/C on the roof, don't be. The new ones are much more efficient than what came on the motorhome.

I am not sure what your question is. I have a 6k Onan and only one roof air. Works great.

I think he wants to add a second unit that has the same older cowling as what he currently has for aesthetics. And he has the generator capacity to handle a second.

Sounds like a job for Craigslist or a trip to a "file pile" at his nearest rv repair center. I think JimB has a half-dozen over by the picnic table.

I have an original I would sell, but shipping would be a bear. I am in NE. Florida, where are you located?

The old fiberglass cowlings fit the newer dometics. They clean up nice. I have one for sale. $100. Just sand and paint to match.

This seems like deja vu..... did we have this convo once before?I removed both the old AC units from my coach, ran outa $$$
but now am getting the itch again.  So, I know I need a new (and I'm thinking just ONE) AC unit for that cental location.
Are you selling a Dometic ?
Thanks in advance,
B.

I'm just selling the cover. It is the OEM style tall one. Made out of SMC or Fiberglass. I have two, but promised one to a neighbor along with the 1994 era AC unit. I have no inside parts (Cover, control panel, etc.)
