Ok, so now that the forum is not reflecting the emails we will need to do something different. Many, if not most, of the newer folks only read the forum, myself included. I see much more activity over on the Facebook site since this thing has gone down. Not sure that Eugene is monitoring the forum so he may not know that it is broken. Maybe someone could check with him.
In the meantime, if we want to see everything we will have to sign up for the email list.
Dan

If you post to the forum, then you're already signed up. Just need to
turn on email. You can do that at the link below or just let me or Billy
know and we'll do it for you.

I think it's just too many in winter storage. Wait a few months when people start having a hard time waking their coaches up. Plus, the economy might be catching up to a lot of us. Can't afford to spend money right now.

I agree with Chris. facebook or not. I think things are just calm out there in GMC land. winter has set in up here. and even though my GMC is still in my driveway. it is too snowy and cold to go out there to mess around with fixing my brake leak and change my belts.

so I have not had many questions about repairs lately.

Also, Dan is not reporting about much going on in Arizona/quartzite this winter.

I am sure next winter there will be more action.

Ok, you guys are probably correct. Just thought maybe we were broken or something. Glad to know us forum readers are not missing out on anything. Not much happening around here. My granddaughter came through her surgery really well Monday and they think she will make a full recovery. That is a load off Teri and me. That St Jude Hospital is totally unbelievable. We have never witnessed folks so caring in our lives.
I guess I could fire up the furnace and do a few inside jobs. I will be home all by myself next week since Teri is flying out to Az. Next year Quartasite better look out. We plan to see if we can get out there and back without blowing another engine. Think I will tow the Vdub out and get a little dust on it. Gary B. gives me a hard time about no dust or dirt on it so we can change that.
Hope all my friends have a merry new year and a happy xmas.
Dan

I don't know is this is just an aberration on my forum presentation but I've been having a problem. In the last few days when I click on the arrow (next to the thread topic) for the first unread message I get the last message posted and have to scroll up to see the most recent messages that I have not read.

Ditto here! I looked to see if there was a preference that somehow got changed but didn't find anything that looked like it should affect unread messages. Kind of a pain to scroll back to see what messages you have not read.

Al least you have red and blue icons to tell you which threads have messages you have not looked at yet. If it is red and you do not like the thread title, you can ignore the whole block of useless messages with one key depression and move on.

If you normally use the forum, but want a back-up, you might do what I do.

I have a "GMCnet only" email address that gets all of the emails.

While normally reading and posting from the forum, I check the "GMCnet only" account every couple of weeks and mark all the messages read. If the forum has issues, I just open the GMCnet account and keep reading. (Also all the messages are archived in a search-able format.)

Got to have my "GMCnet fix" each and every day! Laughing

I don't know if it applies to anyone but me, or if it does, if anybody else cares, but searches on the forum only produce results back to when the "problem" manifested itself. If I search for "carburetor", the search pnly produces 9 hits, and none older than December 2012.
