Has anyone changed out the plastic seatbacks on the original seats? It looks like it will just slip off if I drill out the rivets at the bottom. Is that how it works?

Mine has a big crack I need to repair or replace the plastic.

I bought a slip over seat cover from pep boys and it covers the back of mine that were taken off from kids

breaking them the po stated. The covers do not look bad and good in a storm of what to do.

they are not the cheapest but not that expensive. i like the old seats they are comfortable and the arms

are like robot arms in avatar.

Once you get it apart how are you going to fix it? I think I have an original set of 1976 Palm Beach seats. If you are interested I'll go look for them and can have them. I am 150 miles northwest of Indy.
