any one know where i can get a GM screwdriver? you know the one for all the screws these coaches are put together with.

Do you mean the screwdriver made out of unobtainium? Which screw size and shape do you need it for?

I think he means the clutch head type screwdrivers... only used on GM
trucks and our GMCs, as well as trailers and RVs Back In The Day. Used
in the cabinetry. Obsolete from what I gather, often available only as
a bit to go in a driver. NAPA can allegedly order them. Big box and
Harborfreight stores dont sell enough to make their shelf space worth
it, but a local hardware store might. Online may be the best bet.
(Tom Phipps told me about them yesterday.)

Larry,
I don't know what a GM screwdriver is but many drill bit kits and tool kits available at HD, HF, Costco, Sears, and most auto parts stores include include an assortment of screw driver bits--phillips, flat, torx, angled square tips.
I haven't found any screws in my previous 1975 Avion 23 or my 76 Palm Beach that I couldn't find a bit for in one of my inexpensive drill bit kits.

Many places have the screw drivers with the interchangeable tips and they
usually come with a square one.
By the way, I've replace as many of those screws as I could just to get away
from having to look for the tip. Sometimes a small Phillips works in them if
it's the right size.

Very early in my boat work, I kept running into Posi-drive, Clutch head, Robertson (lots of boats are made in Canada), and Torx on some passcar based engine junk.
So,
Every year I buy another 100 piece bit set from Harbinger Fright. By the end of a good season, it is worth my while to get a new one. (Always on sale for ~9$us.) In the mean time, I can probably loosen anything I come across. Yes, they are junk (metalurgicly speaking) but they can also get lost overboard and not involve cardiac issues.

I bought a kit some years ago from Homer the Despot which was tips to put in a magnetic screwdriver holder. It has about a hundred tips including the ones in the GMC. I think it was like maybe $15. It even has 'security' bits for Torx and hex.

Thanks guys, I found a set that had the bits I need at Harbor Freight. First time I had ever seen a set with the C
"clutch" bits.Had to get a set of 100 for three. I am still using # 2 &3 phillips bits I had when I retired from the Air National Guard in 1989

Lots of vendors for clutch bit screwdriver sets on Amazon. If your Avion cabinets are attached to the ceiling through the upper door frame, you will need a 1/4" clutch bit screwdriver. A bit attachment will be too large a diameter to fit in the hole, where the clutch screw hides. Seems there was a design change, because John R's Avion has a mounting strip attached to the back of the door frame that carries the load.
NAPA has closed out the clutch bit screwdriver, but you may find them.
NAPA part numbers; M-134, 135, 136, and 137 would be a complete set. M-134 is the smallest of the set and most common in the GMC. M-136, M-137 probably are not used in the GMC, these are pretty big. I don't have the M-134 unfortunately. Stanley part number is 1019-3/16 for one size, probably very obsolete. NAPA M-135 is same size as Stanley, so must be 3/16.
I don't recommend using drywall screws as substitutes.

I'm at home so I can't go look at The Blue Streak but AFAIK the hanging cabinets are attached with a screw horizontally through the
deepest part of the cabinet into the extrusion above the windows and vertically through the part into a square tube pop riveted in
between two sections of the aluminum body frame.
