Steve,
Probably not all that much. If you consider the volume of the water line from the tank to the sink fixture and then the hose to the shower head, then probably not much more than a cup or two. The fine stream of the shower head makes it seam like much more as it take time to push the water volume thru the nozzles.

Several GMCers have installed the Aquah 6L (6 liter)
on demand water heater at the back of the reefer
compartment. I would hardly call them expensive!
I find three listed on eBay at the current time;
two at $169.50 and one at $149.50, all with FREE
shipping.
I haven't installed mine yet. Those who have bought
and installed them have reported favorably.
