For those of you who have replaced your seats with the Honda/Chrysler minivan seats. I've located a set of mid seats from 2000 Odyssey. They are easily removable from original van.
Two questions; 1. Will they work with base removal from seat. 2. Would the two front seats be a better choice, or has anyone tried them?
Just another Winter project.

Welcome back, Tom! :) I've had some adventures whilst you've been away.

If you want help with those seats, lemme know and I'll go with you to
help you get 'em out, assuming you're talking about one of the
Pull-A-Part vans.

Hi Tom: One little issue with the Avion (only) pedistals, they swivel in the middle instead of offset as the other GMCs. You will have to raise the seat back each time you want to swivel the seat to keep it from hitting the wall. But to answer the ? I believe the 2000 seats had the cup holders and twin armrests and are prefered. Mine are the later and do not have cup holders. I think the center seats were prefered cause at the time we got them as new take-outs. Mine still had the plastic on them. The Honda sliders should bolt to your pedistals by drilling one hole IIRC..

The mid seats were preferred because they had two armrests while the front seats had only one. However, beginning with the 2011 model, the mid seats only have one armrest

Tom,

Chuck is correct (naturally) I installed a pair of Honda's in Double Trouble. I found that to make them swivel I had to offset the
center of the seat from the center of the steering wheel. The seat had to be offset a fair amount towards the passenger seat. I
hated that and decided I would forgo being able to swivel the seat and mount center to center. This does put the driver's seat close
to the side wall and I have to have the armrest on that side up to reach down and grab the seat belt to pull it out.

MrErf has a series of photographs / instructions on how to install them.

I got lucky and got a pair of offset swivel trapezoidal seat bases off eBay for $50 and DanG was kind enough to pick them up for me
when he was visiting his family in Indiana (not sure about the state).

Now I have to figger out whether I want to install them in Double Trouble or The Blue Streak.

Regards,
Rob M.
