[GMCnet] Honda EU2000 Generator Recall [message #190145] |

I know that several of you use these, so this may be of
interest:
Honda has announced a recall on EU-2000I generators.
It only applies to certain serial numbers.
The problem is a mispositioned-during-manufacture metal clamp
wearing through the wall of a fuel hose due to operational
vibration
resulting in a possible fuel leak after a long period of use.
Details available at:
<http://powerequipment.honda.com/pdf/Recalls/eu2000i-recall-poster.pdf>
In any event, note your generators serial number then call
the toll-free
phone number to see if it is being recalled.
The fix is free.

The inspection takes a few minutes. I dropped mine off and walked to the store next door for a few small items. It was done when I got back. Mine did not have any damage.
But if it had a worn line, It would have taken A LOT longer... they were currently out of the correct sized line.
Good little generator. Used it at the TI rally. Very quiet and it runs wife's O2 machine (plus a little more) for 8 hours on one gallon of gas.
