We have a laminate installed by PO it has held up very well. I was able to remove and reinstall for maintenance under floor. I would use it again.

I went to Lumber Liquidators about installing a wood floor in my Palm
Beach. They in turn checked with the Corporate Office. Corporate office
suggested I go to an RV center to find out how it is done in the new
coaches. Rv center said they have no models with wood flooring, some have
carpet, some have vinyl, and even some with ceramic. I did mine with
laminate and chose to do the floating floor.
I removed all of the seating, and covered the floor from the steps to just
past refrigerator cabinet. Carpeted the floor area in front of the
bathroom.
Lumber Liquidators recommended to glue all the seams with their water to
help in water proofing the seams.
Two areas of concern that I had:
My kitchen cabinet was not square to the wall, ended up with gap and had to
use 1/2" quarter round to cover up.
Drawer cabinet and bath cabinet ends are not in line with each other, bath
cabinet sets back 3/4" more toward the back.
I was able to complete the job in two half days of working on it. Floor
looks great

Bruce,
Did you install the floating floor from LL with the recommended 0.25 inch perimeter gap to allow for expansion/contraction of the flooring laminate? Did you remove the dinette and settee when you installed the flooring? If so, did you drill oversized holes in the flooring to allow the floor to float under the reinstalled dinette benches and settee?
Any other tips and comments would be appreciated since I am also considering installing laminate flooring in the living area of my coach. The flooring people I have spoken to recommend the "lay flat" vinyl flooring for RVs -- no adhesives required.

John that is exactly what I did. 1/4" on sides and over sized holes for the
benches. I did loose my gap around the corner of the kitchen cabinet as it
was not square to the wall. I also put down a moisture barrier that was
recommended from LL.
