Social Media sucks
- they decide when an if you can post
- they do not fix problems
- they suck

Utube
- deleted GaryBs videos

tinyurls
- Forum will not post them

goo.gl urls
- just decided to delete my post of 2 days ago
- no explanation
- no recourse
-
I have gmcposts back 7 years, and I don' like the idea they decide when I
can post

I
none, nada, zip

do your own thing and post the real urls

The short URL's have some advantage. And if you believe so use them IN ADDITION to the full length URL. I can patch and paste a fractured long URL to get it to work. I can't do anything with a dead tinyurl or google equivilent.

I've never liked short urls as I don't know where they are going.

it's 2012, everyone should know how to copy and paste a split link by now

Hence, knowing how to copy and past a split link. It is 2012. If you don't
know how, turn in your license for the Internet before you get run off the
Infobahn.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer, you know. Grandpa will likely get hit by
a string of 1's and 0's reading email without thinking.

Hey, Gene, be thankful the medium exists. Where would you be without it?

Byron

problem is
some long urls do not wrap around very well
and do not click ...

If using the web forum:
1.) hit "quote"
2.) edit the url... use < & > if needed to keep long links together.
3.) Hit "Preview Message"
4.) Click on the repaired link and view.
5.) Consider if the repaired link would be of benefit to the discussion. If so, press "Submit Reply" to post the repaired link. (Please trim excess text.) Very Happy

If using some mail reader.... you'll need to figure it you yourself. Rolling Eyes
