After my GMC sat for 7 months; I went over to the storage yard to kick the engine over.

I keep her plugged in to 110 volts so the batteries remain fresh.

As always, she started right up. I proceeded to adjust the idle speed downward and headed to the emissions testing. Flunked Sad

Found out 500 RPMs was not good. Adjusted it back up to 750 when in Drive and this time it flew through emissions.

Then cranked the Onan and it started right up also.

Can't find a thing wrong with her! SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG!!! Or am I having a dream......?

If I use ZDDP in a new car - will the tappets go flat?
