Suggested changes in color, below. Delete red letters and add blue.
The 455 big block and the 403 small block are different engine families.
The GMC MotorHomes were powered by a front-to-back mounted 455-cubic-inch
Oldsmobile V8 (downsized to the 403 cubic inches small block in the last
year and a half of production in 1977 and 1978). The engine was combined
with a GM-designed Turbo-Hydromantic 425 automatic transmission that was
placed alongside the engine. The result was an extremely compact layout.
