For those of you who know Jerry Wheeler and have noticed an absence lately,
he has been at my place for the past couple of days. Jerry , his wife Rose
Mary, and GMC owning daughter Mary Sue arrived at our place here in Nova
Scotia over the weekend.
I was flattered to have had them drive so far to touch base with us, and
their first night here the local GMCers, Richard and Alena, Hughie and Rose
Mary and Allan and Shirley joined us for a pot luck dinner and drinks. The
following day they were whisked away to the ends of the earth in Meat
Cove...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meat_Cove,_Nova_Scotia . It was a long
day !

The following day was considerably shorter..a tour of our town ....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antigonish,_Nova_Scotia . Having a population
of 5000 in the Summer and when the University opens in the Fall doubling to
around 10,000, most exploration doesn't take long. <g>

The girls explored our back yard abutting Antigonish Harbour while Jerry
helped me realize that if I was going to do a brake job on my GMC, I might
as well do it completely ! Details are unavailable at press time so as
to not embarrass myself.

Unfortunately for all concerned, I have no control over the weather, and it
rained or drizzled every day while they were here.

We thoroughly enjoyed their company and look forward to seeing them again
on one coast or the other...soon!

Mike and Lorraine..in NS

You didn't take a GMC in there did you? I remember it from about 15 years ago and I don't think the rental car was all that happy.
