Guys,

Next week or so I am planning to remove the Onan and over the winter I would like to perform some needed maintenance. First thing I need to do is find a replacement field winding for the generator as earlier this year I discovered I have an open. JimK emailed me back then saying he has a used one available. I will need to follow up with him in the next weeks.
Next I want to remove the cylinder heads and clean off the carbon as it has over 500hrs on it. Last year or so someone here on the net provided a link to a shop that still sells head gaskets for our Onans. I thought I saved the link but I guess I did not because I cannot find it. Does anyone know of a source for Onan head gaskets?

While I have it out I will adjust the valves and also would like to repaint it. Does anyone have a source for the correct Onan paint color? Also, if anyone has some suggestions as to what I should check while the Onan is out I would very much appreciate your input.

Jon
