I've seen a lot of discussion on removing the decal stripes down the side of the body. I have a '78 Palm Beach, (photo here http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/member-galleries/p46112-78-palm-beach.html). The green has really grown on me, and we love the smiles it produces. I am guessing the stripes are not original...it's a dark green over a copper colored stripe, and my wife and I find it hideous.

Now I realize there are many more pressing issues for humanity Razz , and even the GMC MH community at large, but I'd like to hear some advice on what I would/could change to. I don't see a full paint job in the future anytime soon. The top green has shined up nicely. The lower light green has been touched up here and there, and I could see repainting the lower half. But lets say the body colors stayed the same, not trying to modernize anything, just complement the body. What were the original stripes options? I've seen decals on this color scheme that were blue (there's one here http://www.bethunesales.com/listings/bysong.html) and no offense meant, but that's worse than what I have. I've seen photos of other PB's with the top green, and what looks like white lower with a gradient light to dark type stripes, and that looks nice, but don't know on mine? Any suggestions, and thanks in advance.
