FYI,
I just uploaded a map of the US which shows possible locations for the most
GMCers to gather for a rally. As I note with the image, Cody, WY is about in
the middle of the "west" and Indianapolis is near the middle of the "east".
Of course, not determined is the density of membership within those circles.
Where the circles overlap is close to a geographical center taking into
account Canadian provinces and such foreign places as Texas and Florida.

This isn't intended to prove anything or start a war. It's just a graphic

Though I've only been to the last Amana Rallye, I have been going to the Porsche Club annual Parades quite a few times over the last 30 years.
The Porsche Club has the same issues in trying to find a good location for their annual meeting, and tries to shift it to different parts of the country every year to afford the opportunity for different members to attend.
One thing that they instituted in the last few years was running another event in the opposite side of the country (a mini Parade if you will), to give the members that are too far away to reasonably attend to have another venue to enjoy their cars and comrades.
Perhaps this may be a reasonable solution for those on the far coast to attend an event if the primary one s too far a distance to make it feasible.
Just a thought.?

With the large number of GMC's in Texas and Florida, the circles should be moved to include all of those States. The total number in Canada is considerbly less than the number in just one of those States.

George, isn't that basically what the local clubs are for? Plus Western States for those out beyond the Rockies. Eastern States as well, to a smaller degree. But there are lots of regional rallies. The issue is the big rallies. There are two a year. No matter what you do, you can't cover the country that way so people are always going to feel left out.

Google "population density us map".
The people live from the middle of Texas east, on the Pacific coast,
and in Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. That is about
it. So while I don't know how GMC ownership maps to all of that, if I
were planning rallies, I'd not go much farther west than DFW unless I
went all the way to California.
There just aren't any locals to speak of (aside from those 4 cites) in
the intermountain west.
I hope the big show makes it out to the west coast every 5 or 10
years, but I wouldn't expect much more,
I did get to look at some cool maps.

The middle of your Venn diagram is about at the geographic center of the
contiguous US states anyway (Lebanon, KS). Our bike club does a
"floating" big rally every year. Some make it, some don't. Of this
wandering rally, I've made it to OR & KY. But not to CO (x2), SD or VA
(even though that was the closest). Sometimes it's not just distance
that's the deal breaker.
You're not going to get everyone to every rally...
