Not sure how to do the tiny url thing. Google is on my task bar.

What is the security issue? I guess I'm just not paranoid enough Smile

If you manage how your browser reacts, and the links are from a reputable company, it's not a problem.

Or, if you have an Apple computer, it's generally not a problem.

"Reputable" URS shorteners, IMHO -

goo.gl
tinyurl.com
bitly.com
is.gd
v.gd

Here's a pretty accurate assessment:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URL_shortening

You don't go around licking the handrails in public places. Don't go clicking on stuff that you don't have some idea of where it goes.

But trust me on the Apple piece. It's worth the extra dollars. (I spent 11 years of my life as a Microsoft "MVP" and Microsoft Certified Developer)

Stick,

For me -- the problem is reading the code Google requires you to enter before it will produce a shorten url.

As Gene says, it's not an Apple vs PC issue. It is the integrity of the
URL at which the shortened link points.
