It's very easy to start a new thread, and as noted it will get your problem more attention.
I also agree that the wire is for the brake proportioning valve. It is somewhat easy to inadvertently disconnect. If you connect it and your brake warning light on the panel comes on you have a different problem which can be addressed. (If that light comes on a PO took the easy way out to make the problem "go away" NOT.)
