Hi, all...

The PO installed a Ragusa aluminum tranny pan on my coach, and I'm getting ready to install a temperature gauge sensor in it... does anyone know the bung size/threading for the pan (it's not on the Ragusa website unless I missed something). I'm hoping it's a direct screw-in fit, but want to have the adapter in hand so I don't have to sit under a red waterfall trying to figure it out.

The Regusa pan has two threaded openings. One for the drain bung and one for the temperature gauge. You should not need an adapter.

The threaded hole on the front of the Ragusa pan is 1/8 NPT. It was the same size as the sender that came with the gauge, no adapter needed. At least that's what I remember!

I can confirm this, I just installed an Autometer Trans Temp Gauge and no adapter was needed. The gauge came with a couple adapters anyways.

So then this morning I was under the GMC and I looked at the Ragusa trans pan and, lo and behold, there IS a plumbing adapter!

I used a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter because the hole in the front of my Ragusa pan has a 1/4 pipe thread and the sender is a 1/8 pipe thread, therefore the adapter.

My memory sure isn't what it used to be, not that it was any good to begin with.

Hmmmm... Perhaps I'd be safe to pick up a 1/4" NPT to 1/8" NPT adapter, just to be safe. Thanks for the input!
