Hi Jack,

We are planning on doing more multi-modal and city travel and the Bromptons fold into a small enough package to both fit within the very limited bounds of the airline baggage size limitations and will fit in the back of Sharon's Prius more easily. I will have to build a new rack to fit these bikes. The other rack was designed around the fold mechanism on the Dahons and that worked really well. The upper end Dahons like the Speed TR and the Jetstream P8 are really nice bikes - good ride, quality build and never even whimpered about living on the back of the GMC.

My original intent was to eliminate the need to climb up on top of the GMC so I removed the pod, ladder and rails. The custom bike mount that went with the Dahons holds two folding bikes, two folding chairs, a folding table and a BBQ, all accessible from the ground. The new rack for the Bromptons will be designed around those same criteria but with a form factor optimized for how the Bromptons fold.

Jerry,
I thought it was a great idea and good execution. Why did you decide to remove and sell it?
