Kerry Pinkerton has agreed to pass along to me that 23' Sequoia he bought a few weeks ago for a good price. The problem is that I don't have acceptable parking for two. So the "old" one has to go. I am caught in a dilemma. There are too many serious problems with the "old" one to get anything for it. But the CFO wants me to get something for it.
Despite its problems, I do not want the old one to end up being parted out. I bought it to prevent that. The frame is rusted at the bogeys and needs to be replaced, and the engine had gas in the oil from a bad mechanical fuel pump (don't know if/how much it ran like that). With those problems, and whatever else is wrong from sitting for 14 years, would I be wasting my time trying to get it running well enough for someone to try to drive home, or resign myself to the fact that transportation charges to trailer it somewhere would be more than it is worth?
If it ends up as a parts donor, then I have failed as its "guardian". If I can't get anything for it, I have failed the CFO.
Does anybody have any suggestions? (paying for storage won't be considered)
