Does anyone know of a good mechanic in Austin Texas? I'm having problems with my GMC stalling when I put it into drive and try to accelerate. I also might need to have it towed. Is there anything I need to make the repair shop aware of before they tow it or make repairs?

Michael,
Check out the Black List for other owners near you and give them a
call before you go the high dollar way with a shop. Others may be
able to help you with your problem.

Good Day Michael, my name is Tom Henderson and I live in Elgin, TX. I am on the Black List.

While time and family commitments do not permit me to help you out with your repairs right away, I can make a recommendation for a good, honest auto repair shop in the Austin area.

Friendly Car Care at 9110 Burnet is owned by a friend of mine, Bill Vogt. Bill's shop is also a NAPA Certified Care Center.

You can give Bill a call at 512-821-3300 and tell him I told you to call. He is very familiar with the Olds engine and drive trains that are in the GMC's.
