Here's his reply:
Johnny,
Two are Remington Load D date code 2002 these have about 6000 miles
Two are Firestone Transformers Load D code 0107 & 0108 These are new and have been stored in a building.
All are on radial rims and I have two more rims with bad tires. All tires are 875x16.5
I told him, "Thanks, can't use them. Wrong load range and too old."

Hardly new tires. May look good for their age but new, no way. Rims are almost worthless. I'm willing to bet you could find/purchase 16" from the right year GMC/Chevy pick-up for less.

$125.00 _each_ for 4 tires/rims ???
Two are TEN YEARS OLD! The other two are right at the limit of "recommended age."
I have GIVEN away tires/rims better than this!
I would not put these on a GMC motorhome that I wanted to drive. I would however use them on an old truck or pick-up... after inspection for cracks and checking.
Shows what you can do with your old tires when you replace them at 6 years of age. ... sell them on Craigslist!

Give him a shout, offer for the rims, and tell him he can sell the tires. He thinks Firstone no longer produces the 16.5 tires. Or offer him rim price and he can take the tires or leave them on.
