What is the story of US RV there on the side of 94? exit 68? in Eau Claire

someone just sent me a brocure. "one time only, make an offer on all motorized Rv's

I seen there has some GMC's sitting around there. Was going to stop once, but I never pass through during even close to business hours.

If you're talking about the US RV near Eau Claire, Wi, I stopped there one time,
there were two GMC's sitting there, couldn't get close enough to get any details
on them. I had heard that they will not give out the VIN numbers or anything.

One had markings on it from a Minneapolis radio station....not sure on the
other. I had taken some pictures from a distance, don't think I have them
anymore.

Both looked like they were in SO SO shape.

I got the vins off both of those coaches a couple years ago and passed them along to Dave Greenburg. Have intended to stop at the TV station (KARE) to see if I could get some history to pass along, but haven't been to that side of town for quite some time. Maybe soon.

I live about 15 miles from that RV dealer. That use to be the site of US RV, but because of access, they bought and moved to the Hwy 93 exit about 5 miles to the east. I've been there several times inquiring about them. They have a nice 23' that they will not give up the TZE on. The others, I was told are there on consignment. They have been there for over 10 yrs, and just appear to be rotting into the ground. I've talked about to them about selling them, but they wanted way more than I thought they were worth and added that they had big plans for them....they were going to rebuilt them into something special. Of the three 26' coaches they have, two of them have been down on the ground for at least the last 8 yrs. One that is owned by an individual that lives in my home town and on consignment was in fair shape, and out in their outdoor showroom for about 8 yrs. It finally disappeared from there and reappeared at the old cold storage place right on I94. The last time I talked to them and got a kinda negative feeling about even asking, I finally got disgusted with their attitude gave them my card and told them to call me when they were ready to have someone hall them away. Maybe now that they have had them rotting away for the last 8-10 yrs they will finally be willing have them removed. IMO, the two that have been outside just sitting, are probably just good for parts. The 3rd one might be rebuildable. I'm in Amana right now but I'll check on them again when we get back in October. Where did you see the "one time only, make an offer on all motorized Rv's"?

Here is the cell phone photo that my friend took:

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/member-galleries/p45571-usrv.html

it came out of the weekly shopper he gets. He lives in Prescott, and works in ellsworth.

People hanging on to these gmc motorhomes, especially dealers trying to get the last dollar out of them really will bite them.

Keep an eye on these. if that is the attitude of the rv lot, that lot will be going bankrupt at some time.

It is a desirable model with the dry bath separate shower with rear twin beds. Would be a good staring point for an interior and exterior make over. Appears to be all original inside and out with at least 118766 miles on the odometer. Looks in nice shape for an original coach. This is $7500 to $9500 coach possible a little bit more depending on what shape the mechanical are in and if the frig, gen, HW heater work OK. Still has 16.5" tires and mismatched wheel covers. I have a complete set of those heavy duty blinds in good shape for sale.
