Sorry to revisit this but found out I can't have a carport type structure built because of the building code. I know there is a specific RV cover that Camping World sells that fits the GMC quite nicely. Anyone remember the number?

Jess,
You wanted to do something that looked more permanent, but the powers
that be have thwarted you. Have you considered the following?

Not permanent structure, does not need to meet building codes in
almost all jurisdictions. I used something similar to this for a
number of years to provide protection for the coach before the pole
building at our new place. If you have a parking pad then you have a
good start. There are other manufactures out too.

If you search the forum you will find a post of mine about an Adco cover which I bought from camping world on line. In that thread there is a part number which I currently cannot remember. I have since obtained the cover and put it on the coach. It fits very well and has zipper access panels right where you need them. If you can wait until Monday I will post the part #
If you are in a wet climate you may consider purchasing a dehumidifier to operate inside while covered. If you find the post you will see a reply frome someone about moisture penetration

If you live in a sunny, hot climate you may want to consider Camping World item # 49126 which is comparable to Sully's Item # 26771. They are both under travel trailers RV type. Now on sale at Camping World.

Thanks for the number and advise. I'm going to get an ADCO cover and then do battle with the City of Tacoma. It apparently isn't an issue of a building permit, it's a "land use" issue. There's a bluff behind the house (view side), so in essence, my front yard is my back yard. They say, no buildings in the front yard but I can attempt a variance. $700 to apply, no guarantees. I, of course, think the "temporary" nature of the car port might exempt it. In the mean time, I'll cover the Pumpkin with canvas!
I use a dehumidifier and a heater that cuts in at 38 degrees to keep the interior mildew free.

Tacoma is pretty close to where Sully is located. You probably don't need the tyvek material. I was talked up one size last year and that was a mistake. We are right on the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the wind worked it over. I've ordered 26771 for this year. Other than fit, I was happy with the ADCO. I'll tie it down well and with less flapping it should last more than one season.
