I dropped the tanks and just got started checking things. I removed the first sock that I won't need as I will have a filter in front of each electric pump it was bad anyway. I checked the reach depth of the first fuel pick up and find it is an inch from the bottom of the tank? I'm thinking they did this to make room for the sock? my thought is it would be a good thing to silver solder a 1" extension to the pickup? Maybe only a few gallons extra from dead empty but it shouldn't hurt? Any thoughts?
