Well got the water pump working and had leaks everywhere. Fixed all the leaks and now waterpump leaking. Oh well getting there two steps foward one step back. Oh the joys of working on a GMC. What replacement waterpump are people using in their GMC?

Charley no sig,

If it is the old belt drive PAR.
Some fool left water in it to freeze.
If it is not a PAR with a brass bottom plate, it is toast.

If it is an olde PAR (Peterson and Roberts - why they became PAR), undo the screws in the bottom plate and carefully re-flatten it. Then re-curve it so the screws make it flat when install.

Now, go have an adult beverage of your choice because you have just saved yourself 1.5 GMC bucks.

(I (used to) do this all the time for owners boats and charge them appropriately. (But profit is now an evil thing.)
