With the recent talk about mileage I thought i would report the observed mileage I had this past weekend. I drove 100 miles after filling my tanks SLOWLY to ensure I had the coach full then filled it slowly again. The driving was about 70 miles of interstate and 30 city. I was pulling my double axle cargomate trailer (8x16 enclosed 3500lb axles) with about 2000lbs of contents totaling roughly 5000 pounds. I apparently have a final drive ratio of approx 3.7 as I am turning around 2800 rpm at 60mph. Engine has patterson distributer/howell fuel injection(throttle body) with ebl, Headers 2 1/2" into 3" exhaust.
My observed milage was 6mpg. I have yet to drive the coach any distance without the trailer as we only use it to travel and camp for off road motorcycle racing. I imagine the mileage without the trailer to be 9-10 as our 08 Suburban 3/4 ton 4x4 6 liter gets 11 empty and 6-8 towing the same trailer with similar contents.
