In both our stock GM floorplan coaches, at least one of the foot/head boards
in back are removed. This allows for a full size width but regular 80" length bed.
Can make it even longer if you want, up to the width of the coach,
but there's typically at least some ducts and/or wires running under
one side to be dealt with. That ~75" bed length just doesn't work
for tall folks.

oops, sorry, misread your statement and thought full width was
OK. Should have had more coffee today...

Karen,

I am 73.5 inches tall and I sleep quite well in the 75" bed in the Avion works OK. However, believe it or not I didn't sleep as well
in the 74" bed in John Sharpe's (later Stick's) Royale.

The problem is when sleeping port / starboard you have to climb over whereas sleeping fore / aft you don't have to do that.

Note: Insert comment about climbing over can result in some FUN! ;-)

I get up a minimum of three times a night to pee and that would wake Helen even if I slept in the forward position and didn't have
to climb over.

Regards,
Rob M.

I just have to reply to this. Back in 1979 when we bought the 76 EL 2, I thought it was great fun crawling over & back, [who's turn on the inside to-night]. Now at 68 years old if I got another GMC [which is possible] we would want a rear twin or rear bath. Sadly, who's crawling over is not as much fun anymore.
