leftover from the partout project of 2009 I have the OEM alternator. It's much bigger than the one in the Revcon (the super common GM alt that costs $28)

Anyway, the one i have worked when installed in the GMC, it has a slight catch when you spin it.

If they are much coveted and unique to the GMC then someone can offer me something interesting in trade.

If the OEM alt is nothing special it's free for shipping.

I'll post along with a set of OEM mirrors in the swap section.

I hate to burst your bubble on this but that OEM alternator was a very common item used on thousands and thousands of GM vehicles. It was an 80 amp alternator. Many of us have replaced them with the 100 amp version that is built on the same frame.

I would not throw it out even if it is bad because it can be used a a core for a rebuild. I have a lifetime warranty rebuilt on mine. So if it ever quits I'll simply take it in for a new one.

Thanks Ken,

I have no bubble to burst. I'll just keep it as a core to save the second trip to the parts store, unless someone wants it.

It's the large frame HD casting from the HD and Police Package. That said its a lot less common than the small frame base model. I special ordered a 76 Grand LeMans with HD alt and it has same large frame 80. At 80 it runs pretty conservative with the bigger fan and hard parts.
