Hello folks,
I'm looking to join the club with the purchase of a 23 footer. I'm seeking a davo 2 bunkbed behind the drivers seat, side bath and either rear seate or dinette.
Would appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks,
Dennis

Bill Hubler has a very nice 23 set up as you want, he has been talking about selling it but has not posted it anywhere. Near Boise ID, and if you don't know, Bill is the "inventor" of the 1 ton front end upgrade.

Dennis,
The layout that you describe, was not a normal layout. But just about any 23 foot side bath could be converted to it. The GM upfitted couches (1973/74) might be easiest. (They are all sidebaths.)
There is a early 23 foot for sale not far from me here in Oregon. They where asking to much for it earlier this year... they might have come down by now.
Depending on how much work you want to put into a coach, there was a 23 foot Avion in North Carolina. I think it is still for sale... due to them wanting more than the condition merits. The 1975 23 Avion is very rare and has a layout with a dinette in the rear, a mid-ship kitchen (across from the bath) and a couch in the front that folded out into a full size bed,

| Dennis is looking for a 23'-4 layout (see http://www.gmcmi.com/forms/23ftplans.pdf)
Was the couch (in the 1975 23 Avion) behind the driver's seat?

Yes, the Avion couch was behind the drivers seat. There really isn't any place on the other side for it... on a 23 anyway.

Maybe "normal layout" wasn't the correct term. It wasn't a COMMON layout. It would be easier to find almost any 23 foot side bath and convert it with a couch from almost any GM upfitted 26 foot coach. (You might be able to use the rear seating from the same 26 foot... many remove it to make a permanent bed.) That way you could pick the 23 foot by the condition of the coach... not the layout.

Thanks,
I was thinking that earlier this spring. However, individuals with the 23 footers don't like to call back or respond to emails. So it's been a very long summer of looking. I go back to work in a week, so I will not have as much time to play as I'd like before she'd have to go i to storage for the winter.

I believe Tom Hampton has a 23 footer for sale at his shop in Marysville, OH. I do not know the floor plan but a quick telephone to him might be appropriate.
