The backspace is about a half inch more, Lug centric
and higher weight capacity than Alcoas...great price too. will they fit???

As JimK has ION wheels (different style) on his web site, I would suspect other ION wheels would also work... as long as you have the correct lug nuts. They need to match the wheels (especially if they are not hub centered) and fit the studs.

I think the easiest thing would be to call JimK. You'll get what works and I expect the price will competitive.

OBTW: the exact wheels in that link have "-1.125 in. Backspace" so they would normally be "rear" dually wheels. (The picture does not match.)

Don't know about the fit or backspace requirement of the GMC. Did not see a weight rating for the ION. That could be a deal breaker.

By the time you add for 8 lug nuts with Chinese chrome an Chinese center
cap, you'll be no better than our NON CENTERED American wheel with Chinese
chrome and center caps.
At least our wheels are made here in USA
The Chinese chrome rust so fast and they do not warrenty them or the lug
nuts.

Sort of boggles my mind that you see all those vehicles on the road, all having seemingly different rims but when it comes down to wanting to find something unique to hold up our GMC that there are very few options! What gives...
The reality seems that the "hub center" idea is not only on heavy lift vehicles but even in those ranks, they swap out and put lug center rims on when they want something different. I purchased a pair of 19.5" Accuride rims for the front of the Duramax Diesel coach we're finally about to deliver, the rim was actually a lug center rim! It was nothing but heavy lift!
I'm not saying that it's OK to use lug center rims on the GMC but with so few options if you want something spiffy, it is about the only option to try it. When we first started lacing up Eagle rims, the option was a lug center model, I put them onto a coach and drove the coach myself from Orlando to Bakersfield non stop. Had a set of Nexen tires (cheaper "off shore" manufacture). I checked the lug torque when I got there-- had a great smooth ride with them getting trued and static balanced and no lug nuts loosened up. I know because I checked! I get my Eagle rims from Jim K. trying to help him sell his pile, the ones he has are pretty much hub and lug center. I guess it's the best we can do but if you really have your heart set on some wild rim I would say go for it, be sure the shoulder lug nut fits well, torque them properly and check them often. Not saying don't use Eagles because Jim K. has put a pile of time and money into securing
the proper Eagle rim for us but if you just have to step out (and you know who you are) go for it man! I think the world is going "lug center"!

From What I can find the GMC wheel has a 5" offset.
