2 days ago we (Jim Hupy's Coach, Sandra Shull's Coach and ours) arrived at
Glenn and Darlene Gregory's
doorstep with cap in hand. They welcomed us into their back yard all 3
coaches and greeted by their
Yellow Coach. They had electrical hook ups for each of us. Opened their
home, gave us wifi access, and fed us
sitting around their antique dining table. To top it off even some of our
party used their shower.
The next day they lent us their SUV and off we went to tour Fort William,
Thunder Bay, Ontario (just in case
you were wondering where we were). This is really worth the visit -
extremely well done with young people
acting out roles as it would have been in the late 1700's. Following this
we did some local shopping before retiring
back at the Back yard Camp. This morning we all departed with the addition
of Glenn, Darlene and Cooper (Golden
retriever cross with a Black Lab). They are going all the way across
\canada then down to New Orleans with us.
A brief stop at the Terry Fox memoral ( well done and hard to think that
this was done 30 years ago). We took the
highway along Upper Lake Superior and stopped fr the night in Wawa, Ont.
Shared the most delightful meal
in our campsite, each contributing. Boy, we eat like that we'll never want
to go back home.
That Jim Hupy turns out to be a fine Chinese Cook. Every turn he has a
surprise for us.
Tomorrow we head towards Sudbury then Perry Sound before getting to Dick
Pattersons. I figure we'll arrive
at Dicks this coming Friday. He says he can handle several coaches on his
place so those who are in the Ontario
region com'on out for a great weekend.
