As a GMCer, I have a really low budget but need a car to take with. Ive been looking half heartedly at some saturns, but my heart really wants to drag along something fun, like an old chevette or escort. Problem is, i cant find any information on which older cars to tow and which ones need modifications. the towing guides i find only go back to around 2005. does anyone have a collection of older cars such as 80s cars that are suitable weight wise, and list if they need a trans pump or not.
Also any suggestions on a pump to use instead of the $800 one i keep finding. Grainger HAS to have something one can use for much less.
