Well, we are 2384 miles from Salem, OR, and are in a RV park near Portage
la Prairie, Ontario. A lot of miles, and still more to go. Been running 91
octane PetroCanada gasoline, which has no Alcohol. On to Winnepeg, and Lake
of the Woods tomorrow. Changed a tire on Dwayne's coach today. Probably a
bent bogie. Wore the outside of the tread on the pass side forward tire.
Got a new tire, and are on our way. Will try to put some pix on the photo
site, but this wifi connection sucks.

It sure sounds like you need to get a port-a-power and bend the bogie back out. A 5 foot aluminum yard stick across the wheels will tell you if it is bent and how much.

Yes, Ken, I have my camber and caster gage with me. It was off the chart on
camber. I didn't bother to check toe, the other tire on that side was ok,
so I cant shim the bogie. We will be at Dick Paterson's on Wed, & see what
we can do about it then. Still havin' fun, and enjoying ourselves.

You know, camber doesn't usually chew tires very much unless you are driving a rear engine Volkswagen. I guess if it is bad enough it probably could do it. I would seriously look at the toe. The right side center wheel is usually the one that the toe is off because people cut a right turn to close and smack a curb or big hole.

It sounds like you are on top of it. I still suggest that you throw a straight edge across the pair of wheels and quickly check the toe.

Good luck on your trip. I wish I was riding along with you.

we just arrived to a VERY WARM WELCOME from Darlene and Glen Gregory wh are
hosting us in their back yard - even with electrical hook-ups.
We are in Thunder Bay, Ontario and will spend 2 nights here. Tomorrow we
tour Fort William and do some shopping in preparation for the around the
lakes segment. Darlene and Glen are going to join us on the rolling rally
all the way to the East Coast then down south.
We'll talk tonight about the next segment so that those we are meeting up
with will have a better idea of timing.
The trip overall has been non-eventful since we left Calgary. I figure
we'll change oil either here tomorrow or when we get to Dicks.
I am going o do a word document with pics and briefs on the trip.
We have seen a lot of beautiful country and met many wonderful people.
Travelling across canada the distances between towns and cities is vast.
We loved the trip thru BC - the mountians, rvines, rivers, then the rolling
hills in Alberta to the flat grass lands thru Saskatchewan, to the hills
and woods/lakes of Manitoba then the forests and granite hills filled with
pockets of water in Ontario to where we are in Thunder Bay.
You are welcome to join up with us as we spend time with Dick Patterson or
our time in Stratford then Niagara Falls. Then heading east to Toronto,
Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City then the Maritimes.
Best regards
happy travels in the awesome GMC.
