IPhone only and difficult Interested in all your knowledge base on this. Oddly this year GMC has proved more reliable than this hospital grade gear. 2 leg compression pumps fails so far and today the vacuum device for my stomach suction crapped and woke me lying in quart of my own bile juice. Very gross. Not 6 Sigma. And it's a modern hospital.

Looks like my secondary topic didn't post. 25% of small intestine removed as it got twisted and died inside me. Close one.

John,
Sorry you're laid up. Sounds like it could have been even worse though.
Get well soon & keep us posted on your progress.

Yessiree that was a close one. I have a buddy who had a good chunk of his intestines removed after some dread infection nearly did him in. Wore a colostomy bag for a couple of months, then they stitched him back together. That was nearly 20 years ago. He's just as ornery as ever, though he's kind of a health nut now. Every time I order a cheeseburger I hear him ask - why not order a side of Crisco with that grease burger!
If you are tough enough to keep your coach running then this can't stop you!
I hope you are soon on your back again - under your coach with greasy hands and busted knuckles! Get well soon.

John,
Sorry to hear this. I can say I had a friend who had two sections of small intestine out due to cancer. Terrible cancer prognosis, and he recently celebrated his 38 th year. He looks great. I just said a special prayer for you.

Probably didn't know<G>
Hang in there John! Don't be afraid to SPEAK-UP! ESPECIALLY, in the hospital, you've got to be your strongest advocate (or adopt SOMEONE who will kick A** and take names - in a nice but, assertive, way).
PS: My dad had some similar plumbing work in his early 70s and square-danced 3 nights a week for the next 20 years. Cancer - even in the gut - is NOT a death sentence!

Dang John, you did not let us know how sick you were. Maybe it was spur of the moment thing. Keep us posted. Email me when you feel like it. We want to see you in Amana.

They ought to make hospital rooms with workbenches in them so you can get a few little items taken care of while you're laid up. Probably reduce the stress and help your recovery.
Get better and get out!
