After several years of trying to figure out what to do about the Dodge "Ram" logos on the center caps of my front wheels. I finally came up with a solution. But I didn't do it on my own! I had some help from a couple of innovative GMCers who help us keep these GMCs alive and looking good.

That wheel with the GMC logo do look good. I was just wandering. Looking for more options. I have Alcoas but My dream is still to get ROCKSTARS.

Very nice installation Carl for trim detail.
Do you have also have spacers behind those Dodges on the front?
I know they are significantly wider than the Alcoas, but yours seem to line up even better than these ...

To answer that question, here is another person's album where he installed them all the way around. So, yes.

I chose to use them on the front only, for reasons explained in the album, not really caring that they don't match my (now) Eagles on the rear.

No spacers. And they clear the 80mm calipers with plenty of room to spare. The front track width now matches the rear, on the outside of the wheels, anyway.

Don,
No spacers. I am using 255/70R16 tires and he is using 245/75R16 tires. Mine are a little lower profile and a bit wider. It DOES look like my wheels stick out farther than his, but I think it is just the way the photo was taken.

Not that I notice. I drive in dirt a LOT more than I would ever drive in grass or snow. I also have a 3.70 Limited slip final drive.

I'm not sure what exact year truck they came from, but it was sometime in the late '90s - early '00s. I believe these were available on 3/4 ton and single-rear-wheel 1-ton pickups. Look on Ebay, you will find them. A Chevy or GMC wheel of similar vintage will fit as well, but they are only 6" wide. I wanted more width for traction and flotation in dirt. Ford switched to a metric bolt pattern at some point during the late '90s (???) and their wheels will not fit the 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern on our coaches. The Chevy and GMC wheels are held on the hub with metric lug nuts/bolts, but a 9/16" lug nut, that is compatible with the center caps, is available.

After reading these posts awhile back I ordered a wheel like the one pictured from a weecking yard we deal with to mount one of my aged out bfg tires on for a spare. What I noted when I got the wheel is that the offset looked wrong to the point that I thought they would interfere with the body on the rear and might hit the body in front if the suspension compressed with the wheels turned so I returned it.

Carl is particular and would not put something on his coach that would cause a problem. I too had a set of those wheels for the front of our coach that Carl got for me. I sold them to Jon after we got the one ton frontend. I first saw them in Dothan. The guy that put the photos on the site, noted above, was parked next to us. I think they look great. I was not into re doing the rear flares like he did but his coach looked good. However, if you put same wheels on rear you lose the benefit of having all wheels lined up, like Carl has. The wheels look great in person and I would never worry about them not matching the Alcoa or Eagle. The widening of the front to match the rear was the only reason I had the wheels. Few people will notice they are not the same wheels as on the rear anyway. Rolling down the road, no one will notice, the shine is the same. Unless, you have old stick wheels on the rear of your coach like Jon does.  You got to get 4 wheels for that thing Jon.
The GMC centers look good on those hubs Carl. Same as the ones I have on my Alcoas, that are fading after 7 years.

Thanks Dan. Order up a set of those Terry Taylor center logos for your ALCOAs. They are a first class piece of work.
Sully, Even though the guy with six of those wheels has them on the back, I agree that the offset does not make them conducive for use on the rear wheel positions. I suspect they would hit the body on full stuff of the suspension. Maybe not, depending on the tire being used.

I do what I can to show my appreciation to guys like Terry, the Jims, etc for keeping us supplied with new and innovative products. The logos were just an experiment that worked out well. They turned out to be the perfect size for my application, and the perfect solution to a ((very minor) problem that had been bugging me for a couple of years.
