G'day,

I had filled the tanks on Double Trouble on the way to Marc & Puck's home; however, I didn't fill them to the max (no gurgling)
because of the fan clutch problem.

When we headed to Taos I ran into vapor lock problems that the little Facet pump plumbed into the AUX tank outlet that comes on when
switched to AUX couldn't handle.

On some of the steeper grades the best I could do was 15mph.

The Facet fix works great in flat areas, however, when you're climbing, and climbing, and climbing, and climbing the fuel winds up
in the MAIN (rear) tank. The level in the AUX (forward) tank drops and the reduced fuel levels are prone to vaporizing ESPECIALLY at
the altitudes in this part of the world.

Looks like Double Trouble is going to wind up with fuel pumps IN the tanks after all!

Regards,
Rob M.

Just wait until you get to Vail pass on I-70, at 11,000 feet.

Rob, I have a set just waiting for a nice cool shady day. Grab two and come on by. We will do both of them. I am cutting holes in the floor too. Emery is the expert on these pumps.

Bruce,

THANKS!

You had to tell me this, you couldn't let me drive along, fat, dumb, and happy could you! ;-)

Actually I intend to advance the timing a bit and stop frequently to fill up the tanks to try and cool down the fuel and make sure
the AUX tank is as full as possible.

Regards,
Rob M.

Dan,

Thanks for the invite, however, when I do this I'm going to re-do the whole fuel system so that there will be NO rubber in it
anywhere including / ESPECIALLY inside the tanks.

Regards,
Rob M.

One good thing about "up" though Rob...."down" is just after. Pretty hot
out that way.
