What would be the group's consensus should I have to replace the front roof AC unit on my coach? It appears Carrier discontinued RV AC units last year. Does that limit my choices to only Dometic or Coleman units? Pros / Cons of one manufacturer over the other?
Low profile units seem to be preferred and since it would be located in the front I assume a 15,000 BTU unit would be better than a 13,500 BTU unit. Any thoughts / comments on installing a heat pump rather than an AC unit with heat strips would be appreciated.
My coach also has a rear roof mounted 13.5K BTU AC unit with heat strips and a 6K Onan generator that runs well.
