I have been catching up on some old posts and came across some talk about a spare air spring for the Leigh Harrison setup. I pulled one of the air springs off our early Harrison system and found that the spare bag I carry is about 1" smaller in outside dia. I am sure this would get me to a safe place to get a new bag but I would rather have the proper one.
Now for the question,
I picked up some new Goodyear 2b9-295 air springs at a swap meet. These are the same type as the Harrison bags but 2" larger dia. There is room for them to fit in my setup also the air intake is higher and would allow plumb them from the outside.
They would give me more travel and lower air pressure.
It seems like a win win situation BUT I know I am over looking something. What would be the downside of this swap???
Thanks for any input.
