> I think you are talking about a modification referred to as a "Power Drive". IIRC Manny is now the 'man' to talk to about it.
We have a Manny Tranny with the 3.5 power drive mod. If you have
to do tranny work anyway, it's a great and very cost effective way to go.
You don't have to change the speedo gears and it's a very solid piece
of engineering. There's been debate here over chain vs final drive
and which is better that I won't bother to rehash. All I can
say is we're happy with our chain drive mod and it added a
lot of pep to our coach. As others have pointed out though, higher
revs = more noise at freeway speeds no matter how you slice it.

I have the 3.50 Caspro Power Chain drive with a 3.21 final to equal
out to a 3.67 ratio. Manny bought out Caspro's Power Drive operation
a few years ago which is what he sells today. This ratio works very
well for us as the coach is a 31' stretch by Buskirk and weighs much
more that a regular 26' coach. No I haven't had it weighed but that
will happen this fall. I am thinking of going to a 3.42 final to up
my final to the 3.85 range. I had no problems out west this year with
the mountains but the extra gearing might help in the future might help.
