Ray, some states, like Oregon, leave the scales turned on even when the
weigh station is closed. You can drive over these to get your weight.
If the weigh station is closed, look for a "000000 " reading on the
scales readout, and go for it. If the weigh station is open, and they
aren't busy, park nearby and ask. Or, you could look up the Department
Of Transport for that state and call them.
