Saw that. Fry's doesn't mention the draw that I noticed.
This guy's unit is thermostatically controlled, too. Hangs over the
condenser and focuses the air movement there instead of just "all over".
What gets me is why the frig builders don't make them that way when they
know they are going into a unit that would have 12v somewhere around. For
that matter, why don't they put at small fan in the interior. The put in a
door light? Makes you wonder if reducing cost by $12 to sell something is
the right idea when for the $12 more they could offer a real feature.

Byron,
Not sure if you mean amp draw or air flow.
I did a Google search and found that a computer fan draws ~ 0.21 amps which jives with what Snyder says as kit appears to use one
computer fan.
Since his kit uses 1 fan the airflow would be ~1/4 of "my" kit. I agree his kit directs the flow better. While the airflow isn't
directed the four fans create a chimney effect and the airflow "around" the fridge is enough to work. Would it be better to angle
the fans towards the coils, absolutely!
I thought about adding a thermostat but decided not to bother as 4 fans draw less than one amp and I don't boon dock, if I did I
would add one.
There is one additional thing with Snyder's rig, you have to remove the fridge to install the kit (unless you're a REAL skinny guy
and can crawl in through the outside door (or the member of the Fantastic Four that has rubber arms)! ;-)
Regards,
Rob M.
