Does anyone have one of these? The one on JimK's site doesnt look like it will work. This is for a new aluminum radiator..
Am replacing the wire from pass side to sensor, also need to know what kind on connector it uses..
My current one just looks like a thermostat connection with a pipe plug in the center
(Pictures are appreciated)

Thankx

CB,

That opening on the drivers side of the radiator serves one of two purposes. It is a threaded port for the heater discharge when using a Cadillac engine and where the plug in the center of the adapter can also for the coolant sensor on the later models of the GMC. You can't use it for both.

Gene,

No, no, no. You should not run the heater return to the high pressure side
of the radiator. Return to the suction side of the pump. With my Cadillac,
I put the return into the middle of the lower hose.

CB,

I don't use a coolant sensor since my coach is a 1974 and really don't need one. I keep a close eye on the coolant level in the coolant plastic tank. The level hot and cold doesn't seem to ever change but if it did that would have me looking for a leak and I would bring the level back to normal until I could find the leak. I think Jim Kanamata has a low coolant sensor in his einventory though.

CB,

I am not sure of his size but will be 1/8 or 1/4 inch. You have 1/8 plug on the radiator. If his is 1/4 inch we can send you another adapter 1/2 by 1/4 inch at no charge.
