Thanks Dan. My wife is taking some medicine
that saps her strength and we have to stay
close to her Docs. We've loved this thing and
it never lets us down.

better) :)

Having a vehicle you can live in that is self sufficient... I'd keep
it around just as insurance from the next hurricane, power outage,
fire, or whatever natural disaster plagues your particular area.

I noticed that the Hospital near here has a small RV parking area. I walked through it and found it had electric and water hook-ups. Checked with the hospital information desk and found the use is free if "someone" is in the hospital. (I would find this at the end of wife's five day stay.)

How common is this? IE: Do many hospitals have RV parking, hook-ups or not?

Anyway, back to the subject:

A usable coach might come in handy if extended hospital stays happen... Not that I am wishing that on anyone!

Jim Hupy has mentioned how comforting it was to have his GMC avaialble when Mary was in the hospital. Hookups or not.

Mike, I believe the Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital on "pill
hill" in Portland, OR has 7 RV sites. They are available free of charge for
people who have loved ones in the Hospital. You make arrangements through
the Campus security office. There is electricity hookups, but no sewer or
water hookups but there is fresh water a couple of hundred yards away so
you can fill the freshwater tank. There is a holding tank pumper truck
available for a fee, as well. I was sure glad that I could have my GMC
there when Mary was in the Hospital. I was such a basket case that I really
had no business driving the 60 miles back and forth each day to Salem. The
GMC was a familiar place that I could go when I really needed to be alone.
Another use for our coaches that we don't think about until the situation
arises.
