Hi Ken,

I have missed seeing you post.
Very sorry to hear you are selling your coach -- but I understand how life's issues can effect the need for change.

Even without a coach you could hang around or drop by once in a while.

Best of luck,
Dennis

Dennis,

Thanks. Who knows, perhaps no one wants a nearly driveable coach for $5K
and I will be forced to use it myself. It is that latter part that is the
life change. Shelley passed away in May after battling Alzheimer's for
about a decade and we never were able to get on the road before it was
impossible, even with a coach.

The Royale has been nothing but improved since we drove it down from OH,
but at the moment it needs to get the intake manifold back in place without
leaks and the remanufactured carb reinstalled. Other projects completed:
wheels, tires, headers, stainless exhaust system, smart charger, battery
tray, aux input radio.

I have always enjoyed meeting up here and there with you all, so maybe I
will drop in from time to time.

Keep on rolling,

Ken

Sorry about the loss of your wife. We lost my dad last year with Alzheimer's and after dealing with him, I can only guess the amount and the heart break you had to deal with.

Ken, please don't be too hasty to sell your GMC. I lost my wife of 50 years
in March of 2011. If it had not been for the GMC community and the
diversion that it provided to me, I am sure that I would have ended up a
far worse basket case than some think I am.<Grin>
It also brought a new companion into my life, and things are better now. We
are planning a Trans Canada rolling rally with Dwayne Jacobsen and the
Cascaders in August. Life has a way of continuing with or without our
consent, and I have chosen to roll with it. Good luck to you no matter
which direction that you choose to go.

Ken,

Every month or so i get over to raleigh/durham to hang with my 16 yo son.

We are often looking for something to do. If an extra pair of hands or eyballs would help, i'd be happy to stop by and see if we can't get that last 10% fixed.

Then you can make a better decison about whether or not to keep it.

I'm not offering any expertise (as other here will attest) but I am not totally uselss.

Thanks all. What the coach needs to run is to get the intake manifold back
on and leakproof. Then we can figure out the linkage and vacuum hoses to
the carb and it ought to start. I have replacements for the rear brake
drums that need to be installed and it might even stop. Once we are to that
point, I can get it out of the driveway, I'd keep it until I figure out
whether the new companion to be cares.

Bakpeddaling! The next time I offer this coach at this price someone
really ought to grab it. She is no longer for sale and neither is the
Honda. I'll get her running, find someone to share it with, or not, and
then decide what to do with it. Parfait Royale will be mobile and more
expensive.

Keep on rollin'
