Life is good even at 100 degrees.

A few weeks ago i bought a case of Duracool and a cheap vac pump.

I got my 06 Honda and the 01 Expedition cool and happy as of today.

I'm confused about Expedition though- it has a front/rear system, it should take something like 60 oz of R134 but it only took about 16 oz of Duracool to get it running cold with pressure around 25 psi.

Which brings me to my other question, we are shooting 20 PSI at 1500 RPM, right? But at what outside temp? It's 98 degress here right now.

thanks

......Duracool...what outside temp?

20# is optimal for the R12 system in the GMC motorhome that's in a low humidity area after the system has stabilized and is using recirculating air. If you are in high humidity, 25# may be needed to keep the system from freezing up. Your systems designed for 134A will probably differ. Whatever makes it COLD is good. Ambient outside air temperature affects the high pressure much more than the low pressure that we monitor with Duracool. If it's COLD don't worry about it as there are no charts for specific american vehicles using R12a. Shocked

ninety degrees leave it as is if you don't want to mess with an iced up evaporator.
