OK, Monday is wheels - up for San Antonio with stops along the Copast someplace monday Night as Houston Tuesday night.  Anyone ever stay on the RV park in Breaux Bridge by the Atchafalaya?  I gotta have some Cajun, and the best in in Breaux Bridge.

Pretrip reuqirements - change oil, check.  Charge the dash air - check.  Replace the roof air - check.  Ouch, but check.  Repair the split hose on the Toadstone.

ACK.  This is the transfer hose beneath the A/C compressor.  It's the returnline from the reservoir, and it always splits because nobody ever replaces it because it's impossible to get at and replace.  So far, alternator, all belts, and compressor are off.  I would take the alternator bracket off as well - it's the last thing in the way - but on a normally aspirated VW Diesel, it shares a bolt with the injector pump.  Moving the pump is a no-no unless you have a timing kit, which I don't.  Three hours so far, more on the way.

Air the tires, replace the fan in the reefer cabinet and me and the BWD are good to go.  Keep watching this space.
